George Washing Carver. An Inventor, Scientist, and well, just plain Genius. This man was the pioneer extraordinaire of all things peanuts, soy bean and he even was a key player Ford Motors. Look him up, explore and learn more.

Annie Malone. She was a chemist, business woman, educator, philanthropist & is recorded as one of America's first African American millionaires. Annie Malone established Poro College in St. Louis in 1918. The cosmetology school and training center offering black women a place to advance themselves. Dr. Ben Carson. A Scientist, neurosurgeon, philanthropist & lover of books who developed & performed the very first successful medical procedure to performing the only successful separation of conjoined twins joined at the back of the head. He also performed the first successful neurosurgical procedure on a fetus inside the womb; as well as developing new methods to treat brain-stem tumors; and revitalizing hemispherectomy techniques for controlling seizures. He became the youngest chief of pediatric neurosurgery in the country at age 33.
Sarah Breedlove. A.K.A Madame C.J. Walker. Entrepreneur, activist, and philanthropist, Madam C.J. Walker rose from poverty and lack to become one of the wealthiest women of her time. She paved new ways to market and sell her products making her one of the first self made millionaires of color. Please look her up and learn more about this extraordinary woman.
Vertner Woodson Tandy. An American architect! One of the 7 founders of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity at Cornell University. He is the first African American registered architect in New York State: And widely known and made famous for designing the Villa Lewaro.
