With this we honor Harriet Tubman
Mrs. Tubman made over 13 missions leading people of color to freedom through the underground railroad after escaping herself traveling hundreds of miles. Her belief was that she and every other person enduring the horrific monstrosity that is chattel slavery was entitled to Life and Freedom.
Enslaved and tortured by Mary Pattison Brodess, Anthony Thompson and their family, Harriet said Enough is Enough! Basically, Give me freedom or Give me death! She was an abolitionist and later in life a generous giver to her community. Tubman reported having vision from God which guided her by the stars in the night to freedom. She Found that freedom and on multiple occasions courageously went back to lead others, THAT is LOVE. That is commitment. That is Genius. We honor Mrs. Harriet Tubman.
This print features a beautiful night sky print reminding us of those long nights, desperate...scary...hopeful... full unbridled determination that she and the others traveled under. The rich purple backdrop reminds of her Royal character, leadership and unfailing love for her people.
